Host UC Santa Cruz and Finlandia will meet for the ACAA Women's Soccer Championship at 11 a.m. PT Sunday after posting semifinal wins, although by very different means.
UC Santa Cruz 12, Pratt 0
Allison Farr, Tomiko Hoshijima and Amelia Streiffer scored two goals each as host UC Santa Cruz overwhelmed Pratt 12-0 to earn a berth in the ACAA Women's Soccer Championship game. Five other Slugs scored a goal each as well as having a team goal. Celine Ertekin added three assists while 10 other Slugs had one assist each in the balanced attack.
Pratt was led by the 15 saves of goalkeeper Carly Klein.
Finlandia 1, Mills 0
Ericka Lambert scored off an assist from Kristen L'Esperance to score the only game of the contest in the 86th minute to give Finlandia the win and advance them to the ACAA Women's Soccer Championship.
L'Esperance led Finlandia with seven shots (three on goal) in the game. Samantha Linteo made two saves.
The Lions had 22 shots (11 on goal) while holding Mills to four shots (two on goal).
Mills was led by Barbara Camilo with two shots and goalkeeper Anais Uriarte with 10 saves.
